Over 50 local designers dropped by Sound Mind Creative on Wednesday, Jan 21, 2015 to hang out at the first ever Asheville Dribbble meet up. The room was packed and we couldn’t me more excited about bringing this fine group of folks together.
The theme was Tea and Toast. The idea was to get the New Year off right and celebrate our emerging Asheville design scene. It was chance for us to hang out and talk design. Sound Mind provided tea pots, some social lubricants aka long island iced tea, toasters, fresh artisan bread from River Arts District bakery Farm and Sparrow by way of All Souls Pizza and awesome playlist of classic soul music thanks to our awesome intern Krista Adams. The generous folks at Dribbble also sent down buttons, stickers and fun swag. Our guests sliced bread and toasted it in a toasted spread on some sweetness and also toasted each other.
Sound Mind also invited some of design community we’ve met through the Asheville Design Salon (shout outs to Christowerks, Element Advertising, 828 Design, Curve Theory, Project 13, Slatthouse Creative, Atlas Branding and Kudzu Branding for their help getting this new design community started. We couldn’t be more invigorated to have so many talented design folks around.

Asheville, North Carolina @ Sound Mind Creative
Dribbblers gathered for the first Dribbble Meetup in Asheville, and for the first Tea and Toast meetup anywhere. Sound Mind Creative supplied designers with tea pots, toasters, funky jams, and space in which to enjoy them all. Thanks, Jenny Greer Fares, for organizing.
